NJALA Virtual Monthly Meeting and Educational Session "COVID-19 & the Courts - New Jersey Virtual Trials in the age of a Global Pandemic" Presented by Rachel E. Holt, Esq. of Rebenack, Aronow & Mascolo, LLP On January 7, 2021, the New Jersey Supreme Court ordered that virtual jury trials are to proceed in a two-phase approach beginning on February 1, 2021 on a voluntary basis. Mandatory virtual jury trials will begin throughout the State of New Jersey on April 5, 2021. This session will break down the logistics of virtual trials, the technology necessary to successfully run a virtual trial, and the rules and regulations surrounding Zoom court. Rachel E. Holt, Esq. is an associate attorney at the personal injury law firm of Rebenack, Aronow & Mascolo, LLP in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Rachel focuses her practice on auto crashes, childhood sexual abuse, dram shop and social host liability, premises liability, products liability and medical malpractice matters. In addition to her practice, Rachel is an adjunct faculty member at the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, where she coaches one of the law school's virtual trial teams.
