Community Challenge Week for Special Olympics

Business Expo membersThe New Jersey Association of Legal Administrators recently teamed with the New York City Association of Legal Administrators to mark ALA's Community Challenge Week with "The Liberty Bowl," a bowl-a-thon to raise money for The Special Olympics. This combined event, which took place on October 6 in New York City and October 17 in Linden, New Jersey, raised over $6000 in donations from NJ/NYC ALA members and business partner sponsors, for the benefit of The Special Olympics. At each event, NJ/NYC ALA members were teamed with athletes from The Special Olympics. All bowlers received a special commemorative t-shirt, shown in the photo, for participating in the event. Annual Business Partnes Expo

Business Expo membersThe New Jersey Association of Legal Administrators held its annual Business Partners Expo (formerly known as Vendor Night) on September 22 at Mayfair Farms in West Orange. This popular, recurring event draws the biggest NJALA crowd of the year. This year's Expo offered opportunites for administrators to network with over 60 business partners. Preceding the Expo, NJALA presented two workshops: a Human Resources roundtable, and an additional session on Records Management. "Integrity" lecture with Egil "Bud" Krogh, Esq.

The New Jersey Association of Legal Administrator's May 6 meeting at The Manor honored Managing Partner Night. Administrators and their firm partners were treated to an engaging and entertaining lecture on "Integrity," presented by special guest speaker Egil "Bud" Krogh, Esq., former Deputy Counsel to President Nixon and one of the "Plumbers" at the center of the Watergate scandal.

NJALA Members participated in a "Disaster Experience" workshop
April 2009
The New Jersey Association of Legal Administrators held its monthly meeting on April 14 at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange. Members participated in "Disaster Experience," a special, two-part interactive workshop led by Attaimian Corp. in which attendees recreated a disaster situation and learned how to respond appropriately to such an event.
