NJALA Welcomes You

NJALA has a long history that pre-dates the debut of the international Association of Legal Administrators (ALA). NJALA is the oldest organized Chapter, and over the years, has grown to over 150 members. We received our charter from ALA (international) in 1972.

NJALA members are employed in a variety of law firms, corporate legal departments and governmental agencies throughout northern and central New Jersey. Regardless of job title or the size of the firm, NJALA members serve an essential role in law firm and department management.

  NJALA provides essential services to our members in a number of ways. We have regular educational monthly meetings that provide not only valuable information to our members on some aspect of law office management but also serve as an opportunity to meet and "network" with other administrators. Our quarterly Newsletter provides our members with interesting articles on law firm management as well as a calendar of upcoming events. Some of the other services we provide are bi-monthly workshops as well as annual equipment and compensation surveys.
